Gingerbread bug fix

Hello, I seen this the other day, and was wondering if it would work for my X2 also. As I believe the original X and X2 have the same GB upgrade.

Verizon outs an Andriod 2.3 bug fix via update for the Droid X

I'm most interested in the lag fix, but the battery life would be a nice perk too.
