ive been trying to find a definite yes or no for a while now but, do any of the current gingerbread roms for the OV have a fully functioning mms system? i mean does it work 100% perfect and normal or is it kinda shoddy?

It works 100%

The latest build of aospCMod7 2.3.4 has working MMS. The only things it lacks are camera autofocus and bluetooth headset connectivity.

Do I need auto focus for pictures to come out decent or would I hardly notice?

awesome then the only thing i have to ask now is there any reason to stay on harmonia over gb? what are some of the new features of gb that froyo doesnt have?

Does this mean MMS will work with other systems using Gingerbread. Now I have a stock Optimus that has just been rooted. I have a problem receiving video or slide shows sent from AT&T or Verizon. Even video send from other VM users has to be VERY VERY short or it will not come through. If so is Gingerbread the only way or will Bumblebee or Harmonia fix it.

Thanks

this link is showing all the improvements of Gingerbread over previous versions of android.

they are all true. I personally cannot use a froyo rom for a day and not miss all these features.

plus, its synced with the Cyanogen ROMs so you get BONUS stuff like power controls in the notification shade, overclocking, customizing the home buttons, changing haptic feedback strength, lock screens, Data filters (stop certain apps from connecting to 3G or gps and let others thru), Audio profiles and quiet hours. AND these are all native to the ROM without the need for 3rd party apps. just go into the menus and change what you like.

some will say this rom has bad battery life, but I found more often than not, when I am having horrible battery life, i go into my Battery Use screen and find that some app has been keeping my phone "awake", so a reboot cures it.

sweet thanks that does look freaking amazing i think i shall try to install this rom tonight then! can i just use the regular xionia recovery to flash the rom? ill look around the forums

nvm found a newer build onwatskyhotsky's thread thanks!

i cant seem to find aospCMod-OV-20110531-signed.zip anywhere.... i dont want to use cwm or rom manager so i was wondering if someone could upload it or link it to me?

works great i am on aospcmod7 or w/e its called lol works just fine so far and i am using the xionia recovery which i love!

Xionia recovery will work with all the roms we have. When you flashed aosp, was it the 5-31 build or the 6-01? The reason I ask is, 5-31 has mms issues which are fixed in the later build.

i found the 6-01 build that was posted by watskyhotsky in his thread, thanks! testing out the battery life now to see if its good! ;)
