Gingerbread OTA broke flip clock weather

Original stock Droid Incredible received OTA Gingerbread update last night. Sadly, the HTC home screen flip clock will no longer display weather info unless i enable "google location services". This is a disappointing change from the original stock ROM.

Is there any fix for this?

I know, this was the very first thing I encountered after the update. Kind of annoying. I'm not a fan of anything that forces me to leave location services always on. (Sadly, I am pathetically attached to the animated weather and have given in and turned it on.)

This is how it was before too - it just might not have been phrased the same. The phone needs to be able to detect your location in order to display the local weather.
