Do we have to turn sense off to see the revamped home screen? Also, someone noted below that the gingerbread keyboard is new, but you can't tell because it has the sense skin on it; will this also remove the skin if you turn off sense?

The gingerbread keyboard was not included in the update unfortunately. However, if you go to the Android Market store, there's an app called "Keyboard from Android 2.3" and it's the exact same thing as the Gingerbread keyboard.

HTC killed the ability to turn off Sence back on the 2.2 update. Only way is to root and run a custom rom.

Well that answers that question. I was going to ask if some other launcher or skin could be used. Too bad it can't, but the things that annoyed me about Sense haven't happened yet in GB. We shall see.

It does suck, but there is an app called "gingerbread launcher free" by Eugene that does the exact same thing. Sense is fine, but I am horribly bored with it. This seems to work for me so far.

South philly - I did not know that so thanks

Yes you can use other launchers. Go, ADW, Launcher Pro are some of the more popular ones. It's just some offer the sense stuff that US built in that you can't get this of.
