Gingerbread update

Word is out that VZW will be pushing a Gingerbread update for the Commando.

Has anyone seen a downloadable manual update file yet?

Either use InnoPath Active Care or go settings..About Phone...System Updates...Check New.

Let me know if yours installs, mine downloads and fails during installation.

mine says no update avail. But earlyer it was downloading an update but didnt go through.... try shutting your phone off and trying again... thats what verizon's site says to do

My phone did a self update this afternnon. The indicators across top of screen are now all green, and the keyboard is different, among other things. Is this gingerbread ?

Checked for update this morning at 7am easterm and downloaded and installed update. Seems faster with things but having to force close a few things already. Apps menu has froozen for a few seconds a few times. Tryed reboot and didnt help. see how things go.. only been up and running 25 min now

Got mine on yesterday and it's pretty sweet, very smooth. No freezes or anything but smooth sailing so far. I'm liking it. I hope battery life is better. Time will tell on that issue.

the update messed my phone all up. and made my phone not recognize my music files. whats up with that?

Several things have happened to my phone. The music files were not recognizable and I noted that my clock widget (oem widget) is getting hung up and will display the wrong time. The time in the task bar and the lock screen is correct though.

When I drag it to the trash can, a notice appears stating that the widget has to "force stop".

Anyone else have this issue?

My clock has also hung up several times.
