Any information on the official Gingerbread update for the original T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 inch?

They have launched it for europe. I have it installed. Working flawlessly. Its smoother than the 2.2

Verizon & Sprint have officially released GB domestically. AT&T and T-Mobile have not. I personally have the AT&T version and would like to see an official release, if for no reason other than to help resale value a bit.

Otherwise, I've tried the generic GSM Tab Gingerbread and I currently have Overcome 4.0 on there and it's running quite well. There is supposedly a new official Samsung 2.3.5 firmware out there that's even smoother.

Anyone had any problems with the update. Both the native browser and Firefox freeze my tab EVERY time I open them and I have to shut down or wait ages to regain control.

I have just been off the UK support site and they are being fairly confident that the 2.3 release will be on Monday 5th December. However this may only be for untouched/unbranded handsets. Operators may take longer as they have to put all their crap on it as well! :-\

This is bothering me quite a bit. Devices such as my gt-p1010 are getting no gingerbread love. The front facing camera does not work! Other than the camera the unit is excellent but Samsung is going to lose a customer here if they say just leave this model without a functional camera...
