Gingerbreade and GIFs

Every since my Droid X got upgraded to Gingerbread, I can no longer play GIFs full screen or zoom in on them. Before, the would play full screen automatically. Now, they are tiny with a black boarder. Any way to change this?

What app are you using? What happens if you double-tap on the image?

Using the standard Android default picture viewer.

Nothing happens. I can't zoom or anything.
The only thing that has changes was going from Froyo to Gingerbread.

Does Gallery work properly for jpg files? Have you tried a better image viewer (I use QuickPic)?

Yes, it works fine for JPGs.
