androidcentral, you're the pros, not me.

Just rooted my Inc2 on 2.3.3 using notluK's tutorial on here. Using ROM Manager I flashed the SkyRaider Zeus ROM and just got done with my first full charge after wiping battery stats. Made it 1d 3h 40m 35s with some definite usage. All i'm using right now is GO SMS, Twitter, Gmail, Market, Browser, and a little bit of Tether and Camera.

What's next for me? If I wanted to go about changing ROMs, what's the best way to do that? I have ClockworkMod on my phone. . .what is that in relation to the ROM? If I change roms, is that still my "recovery" or what happens in that situation?
Did a new kernel install when I flashed SkyRaider? What other kernels are people using that work better (performance and battery life) and how would I go about changing the kernel without affecting the ROM?

More customiation. . .tips and tricks about making a charge last longer. . .anything you guys know, I probably DON'T.

Sorry i'm full of questions, i'm not ignorant, I just want to hear it from the pros. . .and that's how i'll learn. I really want to see what this Inc2 can do, because I know these things out-perform any Apple BS out there. I've read through the tutorials on here, I've searched and browsed the forums for a few days, but i'm stuck and it's time to ask for suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

I am not a pro. To my understanding this is how it all works. clockworkmod is used to flash roms, kernels, themes, even patches, add on apps things like that. When you flash a New rom, most of the time the rom will state if it has a kernel with it. A lot of the time you flash the kernel separate. The best most stable rom I've used so far has been virtuous Unity [ROM][8/3/11] Virtuous Unity 1.31.3 :: Sense 3.0 WVGA Optimized (Pyramid 1.35.75) - xda-developers

Its just a sense 3.0 rom though, there are no custom add ons or anything. So its full stock sense 3.0. There is this rom which is a stock android rom with lots of customizations its called TSMPoolParty I have not tried it so I don't know how it runs or looks.[ROM][9/2] TSMPoolParty v1.2 - 2.3.5 - xda-developers
So thats all I know hope that helps. For some reason a lot of people don't respond in the Inc2 forums. I don't know if its because there isn't that many people or what.

CWM is what ROM Manager uses to work it's magic, lol. You can boot directly to CWM to flash your ROMs or any other .zip files you need to flash. I prefer booting into CWM as opposed to working in ROM Manager. The biggest things I would say at this point is make sure you back up your ROM (nandroid) before flashing something else. Done through CWM or ROM Manger. That way you can go back if something isn't working right with a new ROM (had to do that tonight, lol). I would also download Titanium Backup (from the market) to back up your apps so you don't have to install them from the market each time you wipe your data. The sky is the limit

Does Titanium Backup restore all your apps and still let you get updates from the market?

When updates are available yes. I use it and love it. I'm one of those that doesn't use Rom manager though. I prefer to do things in adb or CWM.
