Giving in and buying the Atrix tmw, instead of a Bionic. Convince me otherwise?

I currently have a BB curve with no data plan, on At&t. I wanted to wait and switch to Verizon when the Bionic comes out...But I am tired of waiting for a phone that is pretty similar to one that is out now, plus who really knows if a late April release date is for sure.

I was thinking about signing up for a 1 year contract and possibly switching to Verizon afterwards (maybe when there are quad cores). I know the unlimited data is an issue, but not really for me. Heavy usage will mostly be when I'm within wifi range.

I am going mad waiting to jump on the smartphone ship, and if the only difference is .3" and 3 mp, I'm tempted. However you guys are more knowledgable...What should I do?

as long as you dont mind the crappy network that is ATT, i see no reason not to, other than the fact that Atrix is ugly, and Bionic is sexay.

I know the wait with a bb is painful but hold strong at least wait until the end of the month. Verizon just has better service.

I think your decision should be based on whether the AT&T network is working for you. About 2 years ago I switched to Verizon and got better connectivity. Now I am faced with a similar choice as you. Should I ditch my BB and switch back to att and the Atrix? Advantage is the Atrix is a known quantity, and an excellent phone by most accounts. The thing holding me is prior bad experience with att. Bottom line: I will wait for the Bionic.

I am in a reverse situation from you guys. I am with at&t currently and I am planning on jumping ship for the Bionic once it is released, but I am still wondering if it will be a good idea or not.

Yes. We are currently in opposite positions. You are on att and I on Verizon. But I was on att two years ago and jumped to V. For me it was a good move. Less than a year ago my wife jumped also when she saw the service I got compared to hers.

We are in the San Francisco, California area?Your location might be different but I doubt it based on the studies I've seen which almost always put att at the bottom.

I just found out my upgrade for att isn't until the 4th of May. Pretty much solidifies that I'm switching to Verizon. Now I'm just unsure of getting Tbolt now with 1 year contract before it runs out, or waiting for the Bionic on a 2 year.

I picked up a TB while I wait for the Bionic to come out and I can say without a doubt...There is not a phone on AT&T that I would trade even the TB for. Just my opinion...

Ya after reading about at&t throttling the speed on the phones and seeing what my TB gets for speeds there is no way you could pay me to switch

With the Droid Bionic you won't get intentionally crippled upload speeds.
