I had all the same complaints/issues I've seen mentioned here multiple times. Battery suckage, WiFi inconsistent, apps stopping for no reason. I tried multiple FDRs and even tried setting up as a brand new phone and manually installing my apps one by one. Nothing fixed my issues. I ended up rolling back to Lollipop using the TOT and LGUP. Then I started playing and decided to root which was awesome until I realized I ran into issues with Android pay and also installing apps from the play store because I changed the display density to 540 in the build.prop. Sooooo.... I went back to stock v10o with LGUP again and did the MM OTA fresh from that right away. I have been running for 2 days and while the battery is still noticeably worse my flaky WiFi and app crashes are OK so far. This has me wondering... Does an OTA check a hash of the existing system before and after the update? I would think it must but I'm looking for verification on the OTA process. There are just way too many inconsistencies in this update process. I am curious if others with problems like I had would get a good MM install with a re-write of lollipop from the TOT and then the MM OTA? Can the system partition get altered between OTAs causing a bad update on the following version?

Do you mean the OTA update check whether your phone is rooted, so it causes the problem mentioned?

No. I mean does it check if the previous version that is installed on the phone is valid and not corrupt. The OTA doesn't download the entire MM image. It only modifies what's already there as needed. I'm not talking about root at all. I did not try to update from a rooted device.

I updated my G4 to MM just after I bought it 2 weeks ago, before I installed the needed apps.
So far I did not find any problem, it's still running smoothly.
I turn off "sync" and only turn on "sync" once or twice a day for email checking and apps update.
Notice one day when it's at full charge (100%) at night, only 2% of battery drop over night.

Fdr straightened out all of my problems. I really don't see any benefits from MM, but at least all is working properly.

Gmail isn't pushing properly again  If I don't manually refresh I get stuff 8 hours late sometimes. I have made no weird modifications to any settings since I restored fresh a few days ago. I'm in a rage.

That isn't just a MM problem. I've had random Gmail issues on my V10 running 5.1 as well.

Yea but this only happens to me when I update this device to MM. When I rolled it back to 5.1 that problem went away.
