So far I haven't figured out how to get contacts to work, but the launcher, search, camera and maps are working great thus far.

Did you install the camera APK? I haven't tried this on my phone, but it took a picture with my front facing camera on my Nexus 7. I think I installed a total of 4 APK's.

Downloaded them all. There's a Hangout one too, though has a error and can't download it.

That part isn't working for me yet... that's how you get to sync your contacts with it for texting, calling, etc.

That would be awesome.
If only you could launch apps from the Glass UI. That would be great!
