Glass screen protector

"Tempered glass" runs the gamut from "almost as hard as diamond, but if it breaks, it shatters" to "soft enough to not break, but it scratches. "Tempered" just means "get it really hot, then cool it slowly". How slowly you cool it determines the final characteristics, more or less scratch resistance vs. less or more break resistance..

IOW, the more scratch-resistant the glass is, the easier it is to break. (Soft things scratch, hard things break.) You can't get a hard, breakproof glass - hard and breakproof are opposites.

So - which is the best protector? Do you want scratch resistance or break resistance? You'll have to wait for transparent aluminum to get both in the same protector.

I bought the JETech from Amazon https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0...hawk-future-ca-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU5255360 and It had a small spot in one corner that didn't appear to have enough adhesive on it. I wasn't too concerned about it but they actually contacted me to see if I was satisfied with their product and I told them about the spot in the corner. A week later I had a free replacement. Great customer service and the product has worked great with not a single scratch and in spite of me dropping it several times, no cracks at all. Great product for the price and I'll definitely give them my business again.

I've got a ZAGG Glass SP coming. I've used them on every smartphone I've had in the last few years, and they are as good or better than anything else on the market...and their customer service is tops.

I've read that some SP's will cause your Note 5 glass to crack. Anyone else heard of that happening?
