Glitch.preview and thumbnail different. How can I get it working right?

glitch..preview and thumbnail different

took pictures on my galaxy s4. the large preview shows multiples of the same picture which also is glitched. the thumbnail view however are of the actual pictures i took. how can i get the actual pictures that i took off my phone?

Welcome to Android Central! First, go to the App Manager, select Gallery, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. This won't delete any of your pictures--only the thumbnail database gets wiped. Now open Gallery again, and wait a few seconds for the database to repopulate. Are the thumbnails correct now?

You can easily copy your photos to your computer by connecting via USB and using Windows Explorer. Then see if the photos are intact on the computer.

thank you for replying

the thumbnails have always been correct. its the preview picture or bigger picture thats not.
theres over 50 of the same preview pic but the smaller thumbnails at the bottom are the original pics i took. i need the larger pic to match the thumbnails.

i cleared the cache but not the data. they were two separate buttons. this didn't work. do i need to go into the same place and clear the data too and force stop?

Can you clarify--have you already tried copying the photo files to your computer and seeing if they display correctly there?
