Glitchy screen issue

Is anyone else having this problem?

I just received my 16GB nexus 5 in the mail. When i powered it on for the first time, i couldn't get out of the emergency call section because the screen kept glitching and it appeared as the screen was being touched in random places (and it wouldn't respond to my actual touches :S).

I powered it off, and when i turned it back on, the same thing happened but I was able to get to the update section (somehow it downloaded an update and installed it without my SIM being connected or being connected to wifi)

Update: it glitched again when i tried to connect to wifi after the update completed... but appears to be ok now.

Update 2: its still glitching... ill try to record a video of it happening. when it happens the screen is unresponsive

Boooo! The problem persists. I contacted google support - they told me to do a factory reset, the phone worked great for a while, but then the glitching started to happen again.

Blah... it seems like I might need to get my device replaced. I wonder how long that will take.

I'm convinced i have a lemon:

Recorded a video of it to send to Google. Does anyone have any experience with getting replacement devices from Google?

You definitely got a lemon, no question about it.

Yup that's what the Google reps determined. Got all the info from them to order a replacement device, and ship the defective one back to LG! So far im really satisfied with google's customer service.

Only downside... my replacement is scheduled to leave the warehouse on Dec 3rd !
