Global Phone

The GSM version sold internationally is, but the Verizon version for the USA is not, since it runs CDMA.

No idea if it will be a global phone. Just because it is CDMA does not preclude global capabilities unless LTE is a whole different ball game. Droid 2 global and Droid 3 are CDMA and global, although they are not 4G.

I don't think there is an LTE market anywhere else in the world that has coverage even close to Verizon's coverage here. So for it to be a global phone on Verizon it would have to have a GSM radio as well as a CDMA one. When we are talking about 4G LTE, it will need an LTE radio as well, as there are no combo radio chipsets. That is why I think Verizon does not have any global LTE phones. There just isn't enough space to fit all three radios in there. The LTE version Galaxy Nexus will be thicker than its GSM counterpart, but I seriously doubt they could squeeze all three radios in a phone and still keep it relatively thin. Sorry for the long answer.

The short answer is: No Way.

I don't know why people put so much effort to tell people to search. People will always post questions no matter how many times they are told or how creative the person is telling them.
Its sometimes comical when people actually get angry over it.

Agreed :) Like when people make a point of going to letmesearchthatforyou.com, getting it set up with the search, going back to post...

Here on the forums we like to help people and not tell them to search for it. Check the forum rules section on that. While some may find it funny the op might find it insulting and not want to ask questions anymore. Lets make everyone happy and if we know the answer help out. I have even Google questions just to get a answer for a question asked. We all don't know everything so we help each other.

I once had a Verizon rep tell me that x-phone with LTE (forgot which phone) would be a global phone . . . "once the rest of the world has LTE" infrastructure built & operational. lol. So, in 10 years then, eh buddy?

Sigh.
