Glossy black as a design choice?

I was just wondering if we may be overlooking the glossy back. I have a feeling they did that to make it easy to frame self portrait shots. I would still prefer a matte finish on the top but just an idea. What do you guys think?

Wow,is it that glossy it can be used as a mirror? I thank if that was the purpose it would have been mentioned in one their press or video releases.That cover is definitely getting some attention.One of those unintended benefits of a design choice.Can't wait to find out if that's the case later this week.Good thinking out the the box

It looks like they chose to use plastic in the top for the antennas and such but they could of still made it matte like the bottom.It was a deliberate design choice to go glossy. Maybe some exective saw some early prototypes and said we need it to pop,make it glossy.Hey if we can use it to shoot vanity shots using that incredible main camera instead of the front one then its a win win. Well unless you look like me,then a lower resolution camera may be called for.

Yeah,I kinda of agree.To many threads on the same subject.But we'll like Tiger Woods at a porn convention,we can't get anuff.

I don't know,maybe cause its a better camera?Some people are vain.Personally for me,using the 8mp camera for a self portrait would be a crime against nature. Yeah,I think when it come to self portraits,low resolution and low light is the best solution.

And by all reviews, it looks good...just gets fingerprints.
