Gmail app not syncing

I am using the gmail app not the HTC mail app and since Friday my email is not syncing. I sent many emails and people they are not getting them. Also if I check my mail online there are new emails but they never come to my device. Any tips? Oh I'm using Google apps with my own domain.

Are you using any kind of Task Killer? I had the same issue overnight...rebooted the phone and it worked fine.

Ok I had the same issue as well with my Gmail not syncing, then thanks to another forum member Gekko, I had been going into the Running services setting and force closing Gtalk because I don't use it. Well that is what Google uses to communicate and sync so now that I have left it on in the background just not signed in my sync has worked perfect for the Gmail app, hope that helps!

I had same problem with my sons EVO, what i did is created a temp user in gmail, added to evo, and tried to remove the original one the one that didnt work it would not allow me to remove it, so I did hard reset, and everything went to work with original email all synced and working like it has to. So you might want to try to do hard reset. For some unknown reason it gets jammed on google side, hard reset helps out.

Ok I had the same issue as well with my Gmail not syncing, then thanks to another forum member Gekko, I had been going into the Running services setting and force closing Gtalk because I don't use it. Same here. I was shutting down GTalk to save battery but then noticed no emails were coming through.

I have shutdown GTalk and my mail has been coming in fine all weekend and my battery is lasting a whole lot longer.

I did a hard reset and it works now.

I had the same issue. I turned the phone off. Waited a few min. and then turned it back on. Presto! Gmail is not syncing like normal.

yes just sign back in to gtalk and it will auto sync all

i don't have gtalk, and really don't want it. is this needed for gmail? where do i get it? market doesnt have a gtalk

On home screen tap menu > settings. > accounts & sync > then tap "Sync Now"
