gmail app wont syn!

Anyone else have this problem? Only recently my gmail app stopped syncing. Someone in a forum said if you send yourself an email it will kick start it again and that worked. But onnly for a day.

Any ideas?

Ok, if no one knows the answer to that, then how about this: does anyone know how to add Archive opttion to the Email App so that we can use our gmail accnt in the email app and still get full functionailty like using archive (instead of delete only)?

??? You mean you don't have the option to "Archive" in your gmail app? Hmmm...

Are you using the "Email" app or the "Gmail" app? The phone has both. The "Email" app is intended for use with all email services OTHER THAN your Gmail account. It is meant for things like POP3, IMAP and Exchange email accounts (like hotmail or your company email). If this is your Gmail account, then you should be using the "Gmail" app, which is built to be used specifically with Gmail, gives you virtual realtime connectivity to your Gmail account, and includes much of the feature set that you get when logged into your Gmail account through a normal web browser (including the ability to "Archive" email).

Im an advanced user and well aware of the differences. The Gmail app wont sync. Rendering it useless. Therefore, does anyone know how to archive using the Email app.
