Verizon Galaxy S8 Gmail App

Will it hurt any functionality of my MS Outlook (or anything else, for that matter) if I Force Stop/Disable the Gmail app? Gmail works fine on iOS when Gmail app is uninstalled. There’s no loss of functionality for gmail addies in other apps.

Nope.

Disabling Gmail was the first thing I did when I got my S8. In fact, I also disabled the Google app.

No effect on any Google account, or access to the play store. But I despise these silly "assistants", so off it goes (Bixby too, BTW).

I actually use the BlackBerry Hub+ suite for email, but the stock Samsung email and Outlook will still work fine.

Thank you soooo much, Joel. Even though I have a couple gmail addies, I like eliminating all things Google: Google Drive, Google Photos, etc. Bit of a Privacy buff here. Even quit using Google Search. Though I gotta admit, Google Scholar is great for reasearch papers and such.
