Gmail attachments won't open over wifi, will over 4G

This has been happening for a couple weeks. I know Gmail updated their app. Not sure if it is something with that or not, but if I click on an attachment it'll just sit there saying it is fetching it, but never actually opens it. If I turn off wifi and go to 4G, everything works fine.

I cleared the Gmail app cache, but it didn't help. I uninstalled the Gmail update, but that didn't help. Reinstalled the Gmail update, and that didn't help. Checked my wireless router settings, and I don't have anything turned on that I can see that would interfere with this.

Any ideas?

Yes. That is checked. I tried it checked and unchecked, but it still doesn't work right

That's weird , try to reset the wifi you connect to where its happening , like go into wifi in the phone and the one that it connects to and tap forget this wifi and re-enter the information to connect to the wifi again see if that helps .

Does this happen on any wi-fi network, or just your home network?

I don't have access to another wifi network I can test it on, but one thing I just noticed is that Tapatalk for this forum wasn't pulling up anything until I turned off wifi and went to 4G. It's really weird. It's like most internet traffic works fine, but some has issues. I have a newer Linksys Maxstream AC5400 that I've had for about a year. Think I paid like $300 for the thing, and it has worked great. All firmware is up to date and there aren't any child blocks on or anything like that

I get what your saying, I do experience that from time to time on all my devices where I'll have to turn off wifi for little and then go back into it ..

On my pixe 3xl,2xl ,note 9,1+6,s9+ strange it dont happen on my iPhone X

If you haven't already, try rebooting the router by unplugging its power for 30 seconds. If that doesn't do anything, then see this guide for more ideas: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...roubleshooting-wi-fi-connection-problems.html. Make sure any QoS settings are turned off, and see if disabling IPv6 temporarily does anything.
Turning the router and modem power off for 30 seconds, and then back on fixed it! Thanks! I have rebooted the router from the app multiple times, but didn't think to turn the power off
