GMail grouping messages!!

I have the Gear 2 with my S4. I have my gmail email set up with the gmail app. When I get messages notification on the Gear instead of it telling me who its from it tells me how many new messages I have. For example the first email will show who the sender is, then if I don't open it when the next email comes in I get "2 emails" notification. I hate that. Is there anyway to change that?
