Gmail & Hotmail are sometimes being sent twice (are duplicated), how do I stop this from heppening?

Gmail & Hotmail are sometimes being sent twice (are duplicated)

Motorola XT901, Android version 4.4.2

Sometimes when I reply to someone else's email, my reply is sent twice. This happens with Gmail and Hotmail, and the recipient receives 2 messages also.

How do I stop that from happening?

You can try resetting both apps or just one to test it out. Go to settings, applications, all apps, find the app and clear the data.
