I have my gmail address that you have to have for the phone to work. This one syncs like it is supposed to. But my primary email address, has a wamego.net rather than a gmail.com The wamego.net goes through gmails servers. When I set it up on Outlook, the send and receive addresses are all gmail.com. When I first got my EVO, as soon as an email was sent, my phone received it on the wamego.net account. But ever since 2.2, my phone has not auto synced the account. I have to go into it and hit refresh, or into accounts and hit the sync button.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Are you using the gmail application for both? I think you are, I use google apps for my work email too and it works great.

What you need to do is clear the gmail data, sometimes it gets hung up and needs to re-sync, I hope this is fixed soon in a future version of gapps.

Try this:

Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All > Gmail > Select "Force Stop" > Select "Clear cache" > Select "Clear data"

Click on your gmail app icon and it will take a few minutes to re-sync but it should get you righted.

If you go into your email and hit menu settings you should be able to set sync to a automatic time interval. if that doesn't work go from the homescreen into menu settings accounts and look for that account and see if there are sync options in there.

I had this issue with one of my two gmail accounts. I simply deleted the account, then readded it. All is good.
