Forgive my ignorance, but I am coming from a Windows Mobile (6.5) phone to the Bionic. Yay!

What I am wanting to do is limit when I am alerted of new Gmail messages.
What I mean is I want to get notified of messages to my phone all the time but I don't want the notification tone to go off in the middle of the night while I am trying to sleep.
I would like the notifications for Gmail to alert all the time EXCEPT for the hours of 12AM to 7:30AM.

Is there a way to do this?

If all else fails I suppose I could just set it to notify in the bar and not give a tone but I would prefer to have the tone during the day.

Thanks in advance!

you can go into battery saver in your settings and set off peak hours to 12am to 7:30am and have the data sync turn off after 15 minutes of not using the phone.

I use an app called Timeriffic to change my volumes at various times. I have a profile set to reduce my volume in the late evening when everyone in my house is winding down for the day, turn off vibration and set notifications to be inaudible in the middle of the night, and restore my normal volume level and vibration during the day. I have another for use when I'm traveling for work that isn't as restrictive in its volume settings as well.

It also allows you to change other settings like brightness, bluetooth, wifi, etc. It's very flexible but it's all time-driven. It's also available for free. :)
