I use my Gmail to talk to a friend that cannot receive texts. What I cannot find in any gmail settings is a option to not auto ( check box is already checked by default )insert quoted text into every email I reply to from my friend. Is there a setting that unckecks this box perminantly or do I have to manually unckeck the quote message in my reply every time I reply? I hope I explained this correctly enough for someone to understand.

Are you referring to the signature line? If so just go into the settings and delete the text it contains then select ok.

No not the signature line. When you reply it automatically adds the quoted message and there is a check box that is checked that says "include text" which is an auto include sort of quote previous message so to say.

There's no permanent option in the settings for this. You will need to uncheck the box for "include text" when you Reply to a message each time. The option is right above the text box so its not that much of an inconvenience.. maybe in a future update to the app they will include the option in the settings.

Thanks Cyber Warrior. That's what I thought but figured I would ask in case i missed some hidden setting somewhere. Yes I hope they do add this in a future update as an option.
