Gmail sync issues?

Has anyone been experiencing gmail sync issues lately.. my email is not syncing for the last 1 week.. (native gmail app).. tried everything.. clearing gmail data and cache , uninstalling the last update and reinstalling it.. doesnt work in wifi or 4g .. and sometimes even deletes dont go through.. anyone else experience the same?

try adding native power widget and check from there if sync is turned off, i had the same issue hree days ago and found a solution on this forum

also you should be able to check if the sync is turned off by going to Settings/Accounts and selecting your gmail account, if the sync is off then it will say "touch to sync now" and if its on you should see "google" under the email without "manual sync" option..

Perfect ... works now... I must have accidentally turned it off.. I did see the "touch to sync" earlier and was wondering y that screen changed... awesome.. thanks for the quick help..

sure, anytime, I am an android newbie myself so i do a lot of web searching if any issues come up and usually 90% of the search results refer to androidcentral forums folks here are really helpful.
