Gmail wont sync on android Huawei Mate Pro 20

[Android Central Question]

I've tried every step but still can't get my emails to sync.

It just keeps saying Sync is experiencing problems. When I then go into my email account, the page is just blank.

Any help would be great.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using the Gmail app itself, or the stock Email app?
