Hi everyone, first post. I've been a BlackBerry user for 5 years and this the Galaxy Nexus is my first touch screen phone. Happy to join the club :)

(Did a quick search in the forum, couldn't find anything. Please also forgive me if I'm posting this in the wrong forum.)

I seem to have a bug, please let me know if i'm the only one:
When i get a notification (txt, gtalk, gmail etc) and i unlock my device, pull down the notifications and click on the new event, it brings back another lock screen. does this happen to anyone else at all?

Running ICS 4.0.2
on Rogers in Canada.

Cheers.

Sounds like a bug...never had that, or even heard of that....I'm new to this forum, but haven't heard of that in other ones yet either...

Well on mine, i pull down notifications, tap one, and the panel slides back up to reveal the same lockscreen. However, when i unlock it, it opens to whatever the notification i just pressed would normally send it to. I think that was google's intended behavior. Though i could be wrong.

Bug. Are you using a 3rd party app like go SMS or something?

No, not using an SMS app, but i am using SwitchPro widget though which toggles the lock/unlock. Maybe its a bug in that... the comments in the market mention some other bugs i've been seeing too..

This sounds like what i'm getting. So this is normal?

I`ve got the same thing happening and I also use SwitchPro, but not to toggle the lock/unlock. I do use Tasker to toggle the lock/unlock though.

At home I've got Tasker set the lock screen w/ pin to off, but sometimes when I tap a pulldown notification, I get the lock screen keypad. I don't actually have to type in the pin to unlock it though. If I turn the screen off then on again, the lock screen keypad will be gone.

Edit: I uninstalled SwitchPro and it's still happening, so it's something else.

I think this happens when you use an app or widget to toggle the keyguard/lock. In my case, I had tasker toggle keyguard off when at home.

Tried activating the app as a device administrator under security, but still happened. When I uninstalled Tasker, the problem disappeared.

Reinstalled Tasker and removed the keyguard toggle from one of my profiles, and now all is well. I no longer get the random lock screen when I click on a notification, but I have keyguard/lock on all the time now. Toggling it on/off with Tasker was hit/miss anyway.

Sounds like you're trying to access notifications from the lock screen without unlocking the device first.
