Everyone vote! Let's see how many fed up galaxy nexus users are finding their way to the maxx.

For laughs

Cant wait to be retire my Gnex...
I get about 1 hour of talk time and about an hour of screen time on my phone. In week signal areas its much less.
I also have to do a battery pull every few days to keep the blue-tooth working and prevent noisy calls.
I hope wirefly delivers my new Maxx soon :-)

since i am leaving town tomorrow, i have been scrambling to find some junk moto device on craigslist to trade in. traveling is probably when i hate the gnex the most.

I am definitely getting the MAXX as soon as Sam's Club has them in stock. The only reason I haven't ordered online is I have heard bad things about Simplexity, who is the company that handles Sam's, Newegg, and others. I am really tired of bad reception, dropped calls, etc and now I believe the one I currently have, which is #5, is going bad.

My gnex was retired on launch day. Got tired of swapping batteries and terrible call quality. At the end, navigation was draining the battery while it was plugged in to a charger. That was a clear sign that the phone was done.

Loving the maxx!

Throwing my hat into the crowd. That's also with 1 1/2 hours of screen on time. And most of the day on wifi. Sadness. Tomorrow (well today since it's almost 2 am for me) I'm going to a Verizon store to check out the Maxx again. It's either Maxx or X for me. Hoping the Maxx can "wow" me.

I like my GNex so much, I bought another one as a backup, just in case of severe breakage. I plan to keep running them into fall 2014 and see what Motorola is up to then.
I travel 5-6000 thousand miles a week, and get great call reception and crazy 4G all over the country.
The only problem was battery, and a 3800 Seidio fixed that.
These might just last me until 2015 and VoLTE.
I'm typing on it now, bouncing along in the trucks sleeper as my partner drives, and getting a 4G signal in rural north central Iowa.
But that MotoX looks really nice. Someone be a beta tester for me.

I will be picking up a Droid Maxx today. I was at the store earlier, but the reps weren't able to give me a new phone with the plan I wanted (I need to lose my unlimited and move to a Loyalty $60 plan/2gig). I called CS and they modified my plan so that I can pick up the new phone at the store later. Also, while I was at the store I checked out the Moto X and was thoroughly not impressed as I thought I was going to be. The phone just looks "small", too small for my liking. I thought it was going to be a lot more of a difficult decision between the Moto X and the Maxx, but Maxx wins hands down. I am not bashing the Moto X by any means, different strokes for different folks. I am just glad the decision was easier than I thought. Finally, I get to lay my GNex to rest later on tonight!

As a side note, I wish I didn't need to go to the store to get the phone. The Sales rep was like do you want the Maxx in white? I promptly replied that the Maxx isn't offered in any colors. He then responded with yeah they do let me grab one. Needless to say I waited for 10 minutes only for him to come out with a bucket of all these accessories saying "No White." Bleh. If I order over the phone the phone won't ship until Wednesday next week. I'll deal with a not so bright rep at Verizon for 7 minutes just to be able to use it tonight! Long story short, add me to the list on this thread of GNex gone Maxx.

Was hoping to join this crowd today but all the stores around me (5 of them) are sold out of this phone. So I went online and ordered mine. I was ecstatic to find out VZW is letting me keep my 4gig for $30/mo promo plan. But didn't know about their 30 dollar "upgrade fee". Either way, very pleased. Now it just needs to show up then this gnex will be hitting eBay.

I love my Galaxy Nexus, but it was time to upgrade and I didn't go wrong with the Maxx.

Droid Maxx

I'll make the move eventually ether to the Maxx or the X. I'm waiting for root because I've got too many small things I rely on that need root to make it worth the swap. I've also learned that most phones are going to go through a hardware revision after release, and that revision is usually a good thing.

My GNex is still fine. I don't run shoddy apps and I can stretch the "stock" extended battery to 24 hours and my Hyperion to 48, so I'm willing to wait. If the GNex had 2GB's of Ram, I'd probably hold on to it longer. Root, and in stock at Sam's Club and I'll make the move.

Man, I really wish I could afford the Maxx right now. Have my upgrade ready and everything. I'm getting really tired of my GNex...

I am very happy with the move.

Sorry to "brag", but this is with normal usage. I do not talk on the phone that often. Wifi and BlueTooth stays on.

I don't know why, but it feels good to share this. I have been spending almost 2 years charging and babying my GNex. Not having to worry about battery life is great. I also love the active notifications and trusted bluetooth.

that was me yesterday. i have been jumping through hoops all day with verizon trying to get the maxx. so far today - 1h 23 mins on the phone with them. i have never had so many issues doing something as stupid as ordering a phone. at this point just paying full contract price and walking out of store seems like the method to go. I have cancelled 1 order with wirefly, 1 with amazon, 2 yesterday with verizon, and currently at 2 today with verizon. UGH:mad:

Got my Maxx today, GNex will be retired. So far I am pleased with the MAXX. I have been home for about 6 hours and NO DROPPED CALLS, yet. If or when we get root, I will be very happy.
