GNex extended battery in the S III?

So I've got a Galaxy Nexus now, with the extended battery. I'm wondering if anyone knows if I'll be able to use that battery as a spare for the S III?

Looking at the reviews that have shown pictures of the battery, it looks like the batteries have a similar rating (3.7v vs 3.8v and 7.77Wh vs 7.98Wh). The pins are on the right side on both phones (when looking at the rear), but the pins are on the top in our GNex phones, but on the bottom of the SIII. Despite that difference, the battery should fit (assuming the batteries are the same size), but you'd have to flip it which means that the NFC antenna would be on the other side and may not work well (if at all).

I plan on testing this out with my GNex extended battery once I get the SIII...here's to hoping.

Will not WORK! I have both phones, and the GNex extended battery is thicker and shorter and will Not Work! Hope this helps.

Just to clarify, this response is 100% correct the batteries are not interchangeable.

I can also now confirm that the batteries are not the same size. As the other's said, the GNex battery is shorter (by a lot), and much thicker.
