If any of you use Go Launcher EX on your KF, do you know where a support forum/website is? All I can find is a blog. doesn't appear to be support, just sort of talk about it.

My wallpaper keeps changing to the default weird Kindle backgrounds of pencils and stuff, even when I set it to something else or default, in Go Launcher.
Thanks

It's been a while since I changed the wallpaper on my KF, but for the change to stick I had to use a process that required root.

I looked at their site/blog and I am curious how to get to the APK. I spent about 10 minutes looking... Any ideas on where to get a clean copy of the latest APK?

The Google Play store has it, but to get the play store I think you need to be rooted. Many places aren't allowing direct downloads of APKs anymore so other than that it's grey area sites as far as I know. Amazon used to offer it but decided to pull it from their store.

I would be glad to post where I got mine, but it may go against forum rules to post that link. Actually, I just googled it. Softpedia. :)

I really do like it though. Whole new experience.
Good luck,
Mark

Things on the Go Launchr site just weren't very clear... when I drilled into the latest beta, I discovered that I could download via a link on the post, and even though the title etc didn't say EX, that seems to be all that they create (other tan HD),

I have chosen not to have a default, and choose which launcher to use every time I hit Home... That works for me for now. I will probably only use GO Launcher for widgets if I see any I like (at least for now).

I would like the Go Launcher site to keep a link to their latest non-beta version on top, since I don't really want to have to keep updating to squash bugs. But, it is a small price to pay for a nice launcher. :)

I have to say I have been Very tempted to the N7 but after using this launcher, FOR ME, RIGHT NOW.... I have no reason to upgrade to anything.
Go Launcher makes my Kindle Fire into something I can use now.

I'm using 3.15. When I do the long press to add files to a scree, the icons show up, but the lablels don't. Does anyone know how to get the labels to show?

I haven't upgraded to 3.15 yet, but I am running 3.13 and the labels show up.

Do you have labels for the icons that are already there? If not, try:

Settings -> Screen Settings -> App icon labels

This will allow you to choose whether or not to display labels.

Is there anyway to create a shortcut directly to a book on the home screen instead of having to jump back into to the Kindle launcher??

Try the app called Quick short cut maker. It should do the job.

Sorry you are right. I thought you could make a direct link to the file.

Ok I now have the solution.
1. Download ES file manager.
2. Go to the location you have your ebook file.
3. Long press on the file and choose shortcut. It will make a link on your home screen.

I have tried it and it works.

I used ES File Explorer and there seems to be 2 files per book (.Prc and .Mpb) and neither will open from the home screen shortcut... I get an error that says unable to access the application, try to restart Go Launcher

ES File Manager does have the shortcut option..
