Clear the messaging recent contacts buffer Samsung Galaxy S3
Okay so you have erased all of the sent / received text messages
Now when you start a new message and select contacts on the recent tab all of the contacts are still there, secondary apps like history eraser do not clear the logs, and there is no magic button to remove all prior traces of your messaging, like in the phone logs, here is why, there is a safety switch that prevents you from doing so, just flip the switch, I found this method on a thread and it works exactly if removing all of your traces are what you are after, and I could care less as to your reasons for doing so, let?s just call it ?House Cleaning?
1.On your home page go into "PHONE"
2.Once in phone go to "RECENT"
3. Once in recent go to the bottom left side of your phone an click to get the Menu bar.
4. Once the menu bar is up select "VIEW BY". This will give you the options of your log. Select "ALL CALLS AND MESSAGES" or any one of the all sent messages / calls, all received messages / calls
5. This will show your complete history of calls and messages and now can be deleted completely by the standard method of individual or all at once.
Have a better and safer day
