Hi all,

From my previous phones, I have become used to being able to access the home screen from the equivalent of the Recent Apps view by clicking on the background/wallpaper. I know I can also just click the Home button to do this, but I am very used to being able to just click on the phone screen to see Home, and would like to know if there is a way to enable this for this phone. I have looked through the settings, Googled, and searched threads on this forum, but found nothing. Currently using Nova Launcher, but found I cannot do this on either that or the default launcher. Any help appreciated. :)

Welcome to Android Central! What if you tap the Recent Apps button again? That works on my old Nexus 7 running Marshmallow.

Thank you for the welcome!

Unfortunately, tapping the button again causes the phone to go to the open app behind the front spot of the queue, which I also find to be a strange feature. I am on 7.0 (Nougat). Thanks for the suggestion though.
