I've wanted this phone since I saw it announced last year but didn't get it because of the high price point so I got the iPhone 4S instead and I LOVE IT but I do miss Android so I am opening up a ghost line on my Verizon account and grabbed the Nexus for only one penny off of Amazon Wireless and am switching back.

I am stoked because this is what I wanted to do from the beginning.

Am I making the right decision? I was thinking of just getting the S3 instead but I want pure Android, not touch wiz.

Welcome back. The s3 can be had in pure android (asop), but it requires you to root it. You can change launchers to make it look like pure android but it'll still have touchwiz elements. With announcement of jelly bean you should be excited being on nexus.

May I ask what is a "ghost account?"

Today's Nexus announcements including the N7 got me really excited for Android again and Jelly Bean looks amazing, especially voice dictation which I use quite a bit on my 4S and it looks just as good now on Android.

And a ghost account is opening up another line on a family account (paying an additional $10 a month for the line) so you can always have an extra upgrade handy.
