Going back to official everything..maybe

So on 8/1 when the unrevoked thing came out I decided I was goin to install some stock froyo and root. I read a whole bunch on it and decided if i can do the hybrid deal on blackberry and all that, I can handle this. No problem, got it up and running easily and been using it for a while now. But, I want to go back to the very very originial official Verizon release of the phone. My major gripes are, if I'm texting someone and I leave the thread open (which I always do), I'll get a new text and the phone will make zero noise or vibrate whether the screen is on or it shut down the screen and locked it. I searched google and here for that issue and cannot find anything on it. I text a lot and lately I been missing a lot of texts and its annoying. The rooted feature and the froyo don't appeal me THAT much not to have my text messages notify me when I get them. I would much rather have my text message notification work 100% of the time than go back to the original official thing if anyone has a quick solution for me

another thing to, I'll go search it right now but My internet explorer force closes if I try to go backwards any ideas?

Try Sky Raider 2.2. It has worked without any issues for me.......I actually went back to stock because all the Roms were half baked, then I saw Sky Raider and rooted and have no thoughts of going back...
