Been searching for this for a while, but can't seem to find how for the DX. I installed liberty 1.5 on my new DX and wasn't too impressed. A friend at work has Rubix Blurry 1.8 and I really liked it. How do i reset my DX back to stock 2.2 to upgrade to 2.3.340 for the new blurry? I've tried factory defaults and wiping user data and cache but it still loads liberty and gives an error in the updated.zip for 2.3.340. What am I missing?

TIA

Before you do anything make any changes you must always make a stock backup. If you did just flash that in recovery and it takes just a few minutes. If you didn't backup stock your in for fun. You need the 2.2 sbf file and rsd. It's a whole long process that's not fun. Its used mostly for bricked phones.

I did a backup with titanium and bootstrap. Hopefully I did it right. So worst case scenario where do I find the 2.2 sbf and rsd?

I should have come back and looked at this before I started the sbf. Backup failed. .sbf complete and now it says on the bootloader screen:
Bootloader
30.04
Err:A5,70,70,00,1F

MEM_MAP Blank
Service Req'd
Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable

Can't get past this screen. What do i do from here? I've ran the .sbf twice now and it completed both times to this screen.

Did you reboot after the sbf was done? After reboot you may need to boot into stock recovery and do a data wipe.

same screen on reboot. Talked with Motorola, ended up replacing the phone. Motorola said it was a brick and they'd have to have it sent in for repair. I was able to flirt enough with one of the girls at the local VZW store here to get it replaced. Guess I'll wait for gingerbread 3 to come out in a few weeks if what she said is right.

ahh, that was totally fixable!
I did that exact thing and got the exact same message the first time i screwed with a ROM.
I wish I had followed up on this earlier!
I hate seeing phones go back to Moto that got messed up by a custom rom...helps their position on why they lock their bootloaders....
PM me if you still wanna try and fix it...it's been a few months since i fixed mine but it's totally doable.

I would if i still had it. They swapped it with a new DX. I'll keep this one stock until the newness wears off lol. See what the gingerbread 3 offers and maybe then I'll play with ROM's again.

I was using Liberty 1.5 and tried to go back to my stock backup. Now I am stuck at the Liberty screen. I went into recovery and did a data/cache wipe but it does no good. I have rsd and sbf but i can't get it connected with my laptop. Any idea's?

Edit: Never mind. It's been such a long time that I had to do it, I forgot how to get into bootloader (holding camera and down volume key while restarting). I am flashing back to stock now.
