I want to be able to be up and running when I get my phone. When I ordered I told her I didn't need a new SIM card, but it looks like I was wrong.

Should I go to the store today and get a new micro Sim card and the adapter, so it works in the thunderbolt until I get the new phone? Am I misunderstandomg how this works? Any assistance is appreciated.

Just wait and go get a new card when the phone comes in.

I have heard that you can simply take the sd from your thunderbolt and put it into the new phone. I just ordered a galaxy nexus and thats what i plan to do

I know for a fact that the Thunderbolt takes a regular sized sim card, not sure about the Nexus though. I know for a fact that the S3 takes a micro. They will work but you will have to buy some sort of punch to cut it to size. I think it is easier to simply get the microsim from Verizon and use that. If you need to use the Thunderbolt as a backup, then just purchase a cheap microsim to sim adapter on amazon for $5.

Full sized cards are in the Thunderbolt and Rezound.

Nexus and S3 have micro Cards.

You can cut down a full sized card to fit the micro, but you might as well just get a micro card.
