No trolling or NDA lol. Just busy selling, and a bit underwhelmed by the rep's presentation. He didn't bring phones or breakfast as promised. Some of my thoughts based on the presentation and talking with him after:
According to the rep, the phone should drop by the end of the month, much sooner than I expected but HTC has alot riding on this. Sprint is still mum on a date.
Advertising will be at Samsung levels (Movie theaters, TV, print, etc)
The camera is sick, HTC Zoe is a nice feature, great built in photo editing (auto object removal, merging photos together) and the live gallery is interesting
He didn't seem to know if they fixed the mulittasking issues.
Beats Audio will work through the front speakers
No carrier logo on the presentation, but I think it was a generic show. From how much they are pushing the "zero gap" feel of the design, I'd say there is a >50% chance of no carrier branding.
Will come in 32gb and 64gb versions for Sprint
Sprint Zone is definitely on there, not sure about the others.
Sim is most likely embedded, there are no gaps to add one. You basically have a charge port, headphone jack and power button, the rest is smooth with no seams.
Display is 1080p, they did not use the no gap tech that LG did, so outdoor performance should match the EVO LTE
BlinkFeed, while a silly name, looks like Windows Tiles on steroids
Sprint version will not have EVO tag, there may be a lower end EVO later. Design stays the same as all other HTC Ones.
Sense Flip clock is still available, but they were trying to go the more minimalistic route with Sense 5.
HTC Sense TV, with the right devs, could be a breakout product. Just need to get the cable/sat providers on board.
If seed devices hit before launch, I will be able to check out hands on features.
