Going without a screen protector?

Hey guys, I just ordered this phone....not sure about my decision now after hearing about the airline incident with the replacement. Hopefully I won't run into any issue. I like using my phones without a screen protector but I've heard some not so good things about Gorilla Glass 5. I was wondering if any of you are using your Note 7's without a protector and put it in your pocket and are having issues with scratches? I'm hoping I can get by without using one but I'm definitely worried about it scratching easy....at least so I've heard. Thanks!

No screen protector, the phone is in my front pocket quite a bit, including when I play golf and the screen is still perfect.

I don't have a screen protector on mine. I usually don't bother with those. I just get the good cases and haven't had any noticeable screen issues

No screen protector. I stopped using screen protectors years ago. I've never had a screen scratch. I read Gorilla 5 is more prone to scratching but so far no scratches on my N7. I have it on my front pocket, with keys and coins and nothing yet.

My first Note 7 didn't have screen protector. I put it in my pocket without issues. But when it went into my wife's bag one time, it got scratches in 4 different areas. It sucked because it scratched easily but my wife's S7Edge in the same bag didn't have any scratches. Now with my new replacement Note 7, i decided to use one. Currently using JTech tempered screen protector and surprisingly it is working pretty well (screen sensitivity and using with cases) . I also have Yootech liquid applied screen protector as backup if the JTech fails overtime.

Good call avoided the bunkers, sand destroys this screen.

I've had some sand in my pocket at the end of a round, still no issues with scratches.
