GOLauncher Contacts Widget

Been messing around with GOLauncher EX as home replacement to Touchwiz lately. I've downloaded the contacts widget and the GOContacts app. When I select the contact I want to contact in the widget it goes to the default contacts app not the GOContacts app. Is this normal? Can I configure it to open GOContacts?

See if you can go into your Applications from settings. Select manage applications.

Fine your default "Contacts" and "Phone" apps and hit clear defaults. Now see if when you select a contact from the widget it may ask you what app to use.

That did not work. In those apps there are no defaults to clear.

Although I've used the GoLauncher Contacts widget, another alternative that I think works better is Contapps. The app comes with a widget (1x4, 2x4, 4x4) that calls the contact from homescreen. Also, if you're into social integration, it does it wonderfully with your contacts kind of like the stock contacts but better. It even notifies me of birthdays once you've integrated your FB friends with their contact. You can refresh manually whenever you want to update their profile pic and any new/changed info. Look at their FB wall straight from their contact without opening the FB app. Before sounding like a paid rep, I just like letting people know of alternatives that work better, for me. If someone listens, cool. If not, that's cool too.
