So while I'm not yet ready for an upgrade, my mom is and she's been eyeing the gold S6. I have to admit, that thing shines like a real gold (in the photos, at least), I kinda dig it too!
We've been talking about it and we noticed that it's the only one among the bunch that has a different color on the aluminum sides and we have this question: Is it anodized only? and if so, that means it'll peel off over time?

It shouldn't peel....it made of some strong material used in aircrafts, I don't think u have to worry about that

I don't see it peeling, given the gold is embedded just below the glass so that won't happen and besides have you seen an iphone that has been caseless lately, if not ask someone who goes caseless they get trashed so easily.

yeah i read about the new aircraft-grade aluminum they used but if they used the same anodization like they did on the Note 4, well that's kind of a bad news since a small bump would render unsightly scratch to the phone's edge.

i'm talking about the gold aluminum edge, not the under the glass gold color.

thanks for the responses tho..

and to anyone who's gonna try to be smart, please, do not pull the get-your-phone-in-a-case-to-avoid-scratches ticket. i've seen so much drama and debate in this S6 forum already and i feel like i'm gonna puke if i ever read more. let's not go to that route.. thanks!
