Good Battery goes bad in 1 day

Hi everyone. I love my EVO. I haven't had battery problems until yesterday. I noticed that it was warm all day. I had it my pocket because I was in a place I couldn't use it for 8 hours. It was warm. When I took it out it was showing the critical battery sign. Normally it should of had a full charge. Last night I pulled the battery, reinstalled it and charged it. I went to bed at 11 and by 4 it beeped with a low charge.
1. Has anyone seen this problem... good battery gone bad.
2. Does anyone have a solution?

my guess is user error.

When I uninstalled the battery and charged it. I didn't use any apps before it died again in 5 hours.

There's some app running in the background if it is running hot. Period. Get something like OS Monitor off the market and see what is devouring your CPU/battery.

Thanks. Do you know of any particularly bad program? Yesterday morning I did use Sprint navigation for the first time.
I think Google nav was just as good. That's the only thing that I did differently yesterday.

Don't do this. Find out the app responsible so you don't have to kill everything.

Did you ever exit Sprint Navigation (and by exit i mean make sure you signed out and closed the app?) Sprint Navigation and 3G running all day will kill any battery
