I'm tempted to swing that way myself, but it seems like the hardware and software are hindered by the carrier options right now. Verizon has the best network, but there pricing structure has gone nuts and they assaholically lock the bootloader on the GS3 to stomp freedom. Sprint would have me using this great phone on a 3G network until 2017 or they go under--whichever happens first. AT&T has always been a rotten joke. Rogers isn't available in the U.S. and U.S. Cellular isn't available where I am either.
So... when is the next build of CM7 for the Opti S coming? (Being rhetorical. I know better than to ask for an ETA.) If only I could upgrade the internal memory.
How hard is it to start your own carrier, anyway? Perhaps if it were just in any given state... If you didn't market international plans in every tienda or promise nationwide coverage, you could just go find a tower company and persuade them to let you attach your box to their antennae and pay reasonable rent, right? Such a suckfest...
Anyway, enjoy your new GS3. I am a little jealous of your device, but it seems like driving a Formula 1 car to the day care and the grocery store behind some minivan a-hole who has had her turn signal on for the last 3 miles.
Yeah, I'm whining because I kinda want an upgrade, but my better sense is telling me to wait.
