My contract is up with sprint and thinking of getting a new phone. I was sure of getting the LG viper but I'm also thinking of the evo 4g lte after seeing it. So what phone to get?

If you're staying with Sprint and can hack the extra $120, the Evo 4G LTE is the better choice of the two. I believe the Viper is still on Gingerbread (2.3) and there's no clear answer on an update to ICS or JB. The Evo also has a faster processor, a larger/higher res screen, more built-in user storage and a better camera.

Also, check out the Samsung Galaxy S III (same price as the Evo). I generally prefer Samsung over HTC, but to each his own. :)

The reason kinda want the viper is because I actually prefer LG if anything (weird right :) ) but I did take a look at the s3 but I didn't like the way Samsung laid it out. But I'm am kinda straying towards the evo I felt nice :3

You can always wait a little while like a month and see what comes, most likely the next nexus by the end of the year and the note 2.

I know, but the anticipation for a new phone is kinda up there :p after being stuck with the optimus s for 2 years I just kinda wanna a WAY sleeker and faster phone.

My personal choice would not to get an lg that is out right now although some of the new stuff they announced looks pretty good. I know its hard to wait luckily I got the S2 the day it came out so these newest phones aren't a huge improvement, right now I would recommend the Evo or the S3. You should look online at some reputable sites on the lg phone for reviews and if you still like it go into a sprint store and play with them all for as long as you want.

Hehe I did that Saturday it was fun. Although the LG phone I'm looking forward to is the LG optimus g and hopefully it comes out for sprint. If not or I just get impatient (which might happen) ill just go with the evo. Thanks for your advice :)

You really can't go wrong with the Evo 4G LTE if you end deciding not to wait. It's the best HTC phone in Sprint's lineup right now.
