The HDR mode seems to work well....not overdone.
This is going to be a seriously enjoyable camera. Very much looking forward to it. :)

Damn, I thought my Note 4 was good. Can't wait to get my hands on this thing.

Things are really promising, keep in mind the phone is yet to be released internationally so I think there are updates to come that will enhance the performance of the camera even further.

The building at night...second to last looks really nice. The dynamic range in the RAW files - the ability to lighten and process things like shadows - looks really good. I can see using the G4 for 8" prints. I'm looking forward to processing with Lightroom, which is another reason to get the the Adobe Creative Cloud Account that I've been holding off on. The Lightroom app requires it.

Any good free options for processing the G4 RAW files?

Maybe GIMP with UFRaw - if you mean processing on the desktop. Not sure what apps will edit. I am not paying adobe monthly ransom for programs I already own just to use the lightroom app.

Yes I did mean desktop editing. I'm not trilled with Adobe subscription model either. I doubt I'll be editing raw files on the phone via app.
