Good Weather app

I'm looking for a good weather app that gives alerts on Android Wear. I've tried Weather Channel, which will alert on my watch but seems to drain my phone battery more than I'd like, Accuweather, which is good on the watch but doesn't give me alerts for the "follow me" location and 1Weathter and Weatherbug which don't appear to send alerts in a way that Android Wear can pick up. I live in Texas and with severe thunderstorms I want that quick alert and I'll look at my watch more often than my phone when I'm busy and feel a vibration.

I know the Google App will alert to severe weather alerts where I'm at, but my experience with that has been hit and miss.

Im in Texas as well so i know the feeling of needing a good weather app.
I use Weatherbug Elite as i like the alerting features. While it doesnt have a companion app for android wear i do get all the alerts that end up in the notification bar on my watch. With that i dont feel a need to have a companion app.

Have you looked up The Weather Network app? I know it pushes weather warnings to my mobile, but I am unsure about what it would send to Wear devices.

Also, hunt the Google Play Store for suggestions! The search bar has been my friend for ages. :)

Unfortunate IAmSixNine it doesn't look like I can get Weatherbug Elite. With the Weatherbug app I tried it would give me alerts on my phone for some sever weather we had last week, but they would't come through on my watch. Maybe it was an issue with my ZenWatch instead of Weather bug. I like the apps that push severe alerts, but I have my work email buzzing at me off and on throughout the day so if an email comes in around the same time my phone buzzes I assume it is that and don't look at my phone. I missed a couple of severe thunderstorm warnings that way last week. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Morty2264, I have not tried The Weather Network app but I'll give it a shot. I have looked in the Google Play store and have tried most of the top rated weather apps without much luck. 1Weather, for example, says it has Android Wear support in the Play store but it never would actually do anything on my ZenWatch even after resyncing my apps. Looking at reviews it looks like they might have pulled Android Wear support a couple of updates back but they didn't update their app listing. That was why I was asking here to see what first hand experience people might have. I appreciate the suggestions though.

I have a loud anoying alert set up in the weatherbug app so when i hear that i know its weatherbug. I also get them on my watch as a general alert like email and text messages and other stuff. So if you get them on the phone and not watch id start to dig into the wear or watch settings to see why they dindnt come to your watch.

I was getting flood warnings for dallas county as late as yesterday due to a part of the trinity river still having high water in it. Alerted me on phone and popped up on my watch.

I installed it again so we'll see. It popped up two air quality alerts in the status bar and if I scroll through the cards on my watch they are there but they didn't make it vibrate. I'll see how it goes.

Apparently my ZenWatch needed a restart. I did that and WeatherBug alerts started vibrating on my watch. It was buzzing for other alerts so I'm not sure why WeatherBug was different. So now I'm trying a couple of suggestions out to see which ones work best and I like.

Thanks for all the help.
