Google + and photos.

Everytime I take a picture with my camera it uploads to my google+ that I dont use. But its public and there are pictures I dont want seen. How do I make it stop uploading to google+. I have the settings for automatic upload disabled and it still happens.

First you can make your G+ private use your Google credentials to log in and change that. Meanwhile if disabling the auto backup isn't working for you go into Application Manager from your settings, go to All, scroll down to G+ and disable the app. That should stop it from even attempting to backup your pics.

Are you backing up your pics with something else? You might want to allow it to continue backing up your pics even if you are saving them elsewhere. Nothing online is forever and servers have been known to crash so even if you are doing a Dropbox or something similar it might be worth it to save them in 2 places JIC.

Well my girlfriend took a screenshot of a picture of us and said that it was on G+ and I had to go on and delete it. And it was also deleted from my phone. I don't think I have anything else backing up my photos. I don't want them backup up. But I'll try to disable the G+

I feel certain that I disabled this auto-sync with Google+ (I don't use it at all and have disabled the app) and, of course, now that I go looking for how I turned off the sync, I can't find it. I tried looking in Settings > Accounts > Google > tapping my account name, but it isn't there and I went to the Google Dashboard in my browser, but nothing obvious there, either. It could be this feature disappeared when I disabled Google+ (and its control is in there), but that seems too logical.

The OP said they were able to find the disable auto sync but that it didn't work for them. Why it didn't work I can only speculate but disabling the app should take it all out of the equation.

Are you haven't shared them yourself? It should be only available to yourself.

Otherwise, try erasing the data and cache of the app and disabling auto-backup when it prompts you.

Quite so - but it seems a bit of 'throwing out the baby with the bath water' to have to fully disable Google+ to stop the sync. I mean, who knows? The OP might actually want to use Google+ (I can't imagine why - maybe so they can post reviews on badly built Google software in the App Store), just not this 'feature'.
