Google app battery drain?

Had the phone since this morning and love it but the battery doesn't seem so great compared to what some people have said

Mine seems to go down by 5% every 10 mins of use.

Checking the battery usage shows the Google app as the main battery user yet I'm not running it on screen. Has anyone else got the same issue.

Have you disable location services, (think it's history). If I've ever had a huge drain it tends to be that.

First few days consists of an enormous number of updates as well as indexing. Your drain seems really high but I usually keep my brand new phones plugged in while they are doing the heavy updating for the first few hours after set-up. Once it settles in, the battery life of the S7 edge is phenomenal.
