Google articles for you.

Thanks B.Diddy

For now the only thing I could do is not save recent locations

Got no idea how that has anything to do with Articles for you.

Sorry, which posts in that thread were you looking at? There are two possible issues in your situation -- you're seeing the Articles For You in the Google New Tab in your browser (see post no. 6 in that thread) or you're seeing the Articles For You when you go to the Google.com website in the browser (see post no. 8 in that thread).

I did a search for "turn off google articles for you" and got responses. Why don't you give it a try?

It turned it off for 1 Google tab.

If you open another Google tab.
The articles for you are back.
Haven't got to try what else B. Diddy was saying to do.

I dealt with your exact same sequence of questions in that other thread. In case you're having difficulties reviewing that thread, I'll copy and paste what ended up being the solution:

When I go to [google.com], I have a hamburger menu icon at the upper left (which I don't see on your screenshot) -- if I tap it, and then tap Settings, there's an option under Discover to "Don't show on homepage." You can also get to that menu by going to google.com/preferences, so give that a try.

You don't have a "hide" button right next to "articles for you?"

Not if he's referring to the google.com browser page, as discussed in that other thread. In that case, he has to go to google.com/preferences and turn it off there.

I did that.
And the google page that I'm in has them turned off.
As soon as I hit new tab.
It has them turned back on.

I do have the hide button.
But it constantly gets hit and they are back on.

I'm tired of turning the off.

I want them gone.

Why is that either the Phone companies are giving us what we don't want.
And if its not the phone companies, its the software providers.

If its something we want.
They don't give it to us.

If its something that we do want.
They want us to Beg.

Tired of Begging.

Tired of buying phones that has everything I don't want and have to jump threw hoops to get things turned off.

For some reason.

I don't have the options that you have.

What I did a few months.

Is I found something about Flags.

It worked till I cleared my Activity and history.

Got no idea how it worked.

It sounds like you're talking about the New Tab Google page. On my Chrome browser, if I tap the Hide option in the Articles for You bar, it remembers that whenever I hit New Tab. You're saying that whenever you hit New Tab, it doesn't remember that you tapped Hide?
