The assistant hears and answers my input, but there is no sound response from the device. I was working just fine and then stopped. I have went through every option in the Assistant Settings, Sound Settings, and any other settings that I can think of, toggling them all off and on. Several reboots, checked for updates, etc.

>>>Speech Output is set to Full.

Any questions asked are not getting a audible response, such as "What is the Date?" or "What is the weather?". The Assistant opens up with the answer but there is no audio at all. No acknowledgment sound and no answers.

I made you the owner of the original guest post to make it easier for you to find.

Hmm, try clearing the app cache/data for the Google app in Settings>Apps. (Your Google settings should re-sync promptly.)

Interesting, I just tested Assistant on my Pixel 6 Pro, and it also wasn't speaking responses to me -- but I had it set to Brief for Speech Output. When I toggled it to Full, it spoke to me.

Maybe try toggling it back and forth a few times?

Yeah, I tried that before and again just now. Changed the voice on the Assistant and nothing has helped. Strange, I just upgraded from a Pixel 3XL to the 7 Pro w/ the Watch and I have to say the transition has been harder than I think it should have been. I have also disconnected my watch and it has nothing set to Mute. It was working just fine and then poof.

If Assistant starts YT Music it will play and I can hear the other app, but my Google Assistant has lost it's tongue.

Is it possible the Assistant is trying to respond through another device, and that device's volume is turned down (like on your Watch)?

I have disconnected my phone from my watch and turned my watch off entirely, no change.
Welcome to AC!
I moved your question to pixel 7 forums

Try this go to google app long press it then tap info >go to storage clear data then force stop the app and go back into assistance menu make sure everything toggle on and recheck

Also try to retrain your voice model...I've had to do that on multiple devices, multiple times, when an update broke the Assistant. I just had to do it on my tablet a couple days ago because it was doing exactly what you describe. Sometimes it'll tell me I already have a voice recorded and I'm good to go, sometimes I retrain it real quick.. but either way it fixes my issues ;)

It's been a couple of weeks since GA was vocal on my P6. When you say Hey Google you only see "how can I help" on the screen, and only written responses. I also have the Full response checked off. I'll try all of your suggestions to see if it resets ... I thought this was just something new after the last Update.
